Teachers & Writers Magazine is published by Teachers & Writers Collaborative as a resource for teaching the art of writing to people of all ages. The online magazine presents a wide range of ideas and approaches, as well as lively explorations of T&W’s mission: to “educate the imagination” and increase access to the literary arts.

Teachers & Writers Collaborative (T&W) seeks to educate the imagination by offering innovative creative writing programs for people of all ages and by providing a variety of publications and resources to support learning through the literary arts.
T&W programs include:
- writing workshops in NYC public schools and other community settings
- professional development for educators and other professionals
- managing the NYS Poetry Out Loud competition for high school students
- and publishing books and other resources about the teaching of creative writing.
