The Mask
by Kevin (6th grade)

They love the mask
But i can’t breathe through its lies
They love the mask
But i can’t see through its eyes
They love the mask
But i can’t speak with its tongue
They love the mask
But i can’t hear when it’s on
They love the mask
But i can’t live with its heart
They love the mask
But i won’t be the same if it’s torn apart.
They love the mask
But it acts up once in a while this i can condone
They love the mask
Because it has a life of its own.

I am Thunder
I am a Storm
I am a Queen
I am the one who will stand out
I am myself
I am my inspiration.
My mask expresses who I am,
How I got inspiration, I got it from
Myself.
