T&W Welcomes New Writers

T&W welcomes six new writers to our teaching roster for the 2016–2017 school year.

Teachers & Writers Collaborative has welcomed six new writers to our teaching roster for the 2016–2017 school year. These literary artists bring a wealth of teaching and writing experience to their work with T&W. Their extensive expertise will benefit the students and teachers with whom we work for years to come.

We are also pleased to renew our relationship with New York University’s Graduate Creative Writing Program. Each year, three first-year students are selected as Writers in the Public Schools Fellows. As part of the fellowship experience, the students work with T&W and teach classes at PS 110, the Florence Nightingale School, in New York City’s Lower East Side.

This year, T&W has launched a partnership with The New School through which six second-year MFA candidates are working with us as either editorial or education associates. The editorial associates are members of the Teachers & Writers Magazine Editorial Board, while the education associates are partnering with T&W teaching artists working at New York City public schools.
