The book is a rich resource for readers who want to explore the lessons at leisure, or for a poetry teacher in search of ideas for a class that begins in an hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Teachers &amp; Writers Magazine <\/em>will feature five lesson plans from <em>Poetry Crossing<\/em> throughout the next year, starting with two lesson plans in this issue. \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/teachersandwritersmagazine.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/FINAL_CPiTS-lesson-plan_Pantoums-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pantoums<\/a>\u201d &nbsp;by John Oliver Simon introduces third- through twelfth-graders to this poetic form from Malaysia. Karen K. Lewis\u2019 \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/teachersandwritersmagazine.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/FINAL_CPiTS-lesson-plan_Color-Our-World-with-Poems.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Color Our World with Poems<\/a>\u201d is geared to children in kindergarten through third grade, and engages them in playing with color and language.
