Why Not the World

By Delicia and Nysha (9th Grade)

A poor man wishes and
he wishes for a dime.
Why not the world?
Why not the world?
Cause it’s the world he’s living in
fighting in
surviving in
dwelling in
So walk up in the church and preach
Walk up in the school and teach.

Said a poor man wishes and
he wishes for a dime
Why not the world?
Why not the world?
Cause when death takes your soul
you no longer have control
and you leave the world
You’ll have your dime
So walk up in the church and preach
Walk up in the school and teach.

A poor man wishes and
he wishes for a dime.
Why not the world?
Why not the world?
Cause dimes buy him time.
