T&W invites you to celebrate 2015 New York state champ Nikki Metzger and the other young people taking part in Poetry Out Loud across the country by viewing a video about our recent poetry program at the Professional Performing Arts School (PPAS). T&W manages POL-a national recitation competition for high school students-statewide, and our work at PPAS was part of a pilot initiative to add writing to the national program’s emphasis on recitation.
Teachers & Writers Magazine is published by Teachers & Writers Collaborative as a resource for teaching the art of writing to people of all ages. The online magazine presents a wide range of ideas and approaches, as well as lively explorations of T&W’s mission to celebrate the imagination and create greater equity in and through the literary arts.
